Team Nova
Working with Aly has been an absolute delight. As first-time dog owners, we initially struggled with how to effectively communicate with our sweet girl, Nova. Aly helped us build and strengthen that communication, setting a strong foundation for long-term success.
A few of our main concerns were Nova’s resource guarding, counter surfing and leash pulling. Aly not only helped us understand Nova’s body language, but also taught us how to proactively address behaviors before they even occur. Her guidance gave us the tools and confidence we needed to handle these challenges.
What truly stood out was Aly’s ability to make training enjoyable—for both us and Nova. It never felt like a chore, but rather a positive and rewarding experience.
One of our biggest milestones was a session at a local dog park, where we were able to observe Nova interacting with other dogs and learn to distinguish between appropriate and inappropriate play. Since then, we’ve continued working on her socialization with a newfound sense of confidence in reading and responding to her cues.
Our family and friends have already noticed an immense change in Nova’s ability to manage her arousal and reactivity, which has been incredibly rewarding to see. We are excited to continue practicing and reinforcing these skills using Aly’s learning theory.
