Team Axel
Axel is a German Shepherd that we rescued at the age of nine months. Unfortunately, Axel had already developed destructive social behaviors due to inconsistency from living in two previous homes that couldn’t handle him.
Axel suffers from a lack of confidence and displays fear aggression, particularly towards other dogs. He was neither friendly nor affectionate due to his previous negative experiences with untrained owners who allowed him to behave aggressively without discipline and structure.
Additionally, he holds trauma from one owner who used an electric collar for behavior correction and discipline. Despite little hope, we sought help from BrindleDog Behavior Services.
With Aly’s guidance, we learned how to work with Axel and manage his behavior more effectively. BrindleDog training helped us control and correct Axel’s behaviors, resulting in him becoming a loving family dog that is pleasant to be around.
We had one-on-one training with Aly, who used her own dog to help train Axel not to be afraid of other dogs. We also use Aly for dog-sitting when we are away because Axel does not do well in the kennel. Axel truly loves Aly and responds very well to her direction. We cannot say enough about how she has saved our dog, and we are not sure how bright his future would have been without her guidance & intervention.
Best, Stephanie
