Team Gracie
Shortly after adopting my 5-year-old lab mix, Gracie. I got in touch with Aly. Gracie is a wonderful dog but walking her was terrifying. She was great until she saw a dog, squirrel, bird, or a leaf in the wind. Then I had to hold on for dear life-she is incredibly strong and I’m not. I found myself becoming anxious on my way home thinking about having to walk her. Aly was wonderful from Day 1. She came to my house and spent several hours with us so she could get a sense of both Gracie and I, and how we work together. Then, she came up with a plan and we began our work.
Aly has an incredible way of not only connecting with your dog, but can also gauge what you, as the owner, need to do. She has an enormous amount of knowledge and information that she gives to you during your session as well as later sent in an email. Aly is able to simplify what she is teaching in a way that makes total sense, so that I was able to continue work on the behaviors when she was not around. And, she is always available any time I had a question, whether I emailed or called her, she was quick to get back to me and make suggestions to help with my concerns. I have seen some real changes in Gracie in just the few sessions I had with Aly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Aly. It has been wonderful working with her and I know Gracie feels the same!
Rescues and Shelter do their best to provide for dogs during their stay and during transport, still this can be a frightening and unpleasant experience and It can be very difficult for dogs to settle in a home. I am honored to be part of Team Gracie and to help create a strong, stable, trusting Team, based upon confidence and tolerance building exercises, and fluent responses to formerly fearful and stress inducing stimuli. I am proud to have the opportunity help Team Gracie move through the world and settle in her home with calmness and confidence … Aly
